Abstract

Agripreneur venturing into agribusiness is the major source of agricultural growth in developing countries like India. In India, agriculture has always been seen as a reason for sustenance with majority of farmers still dependent on weather and traditional methods of agriculture but agribusiness has changed the life of many of the rural people. Investment into innovative agribusiness has opened new avenues and broadens scope of investment for agripreneur. It has resulted in the overall growth of rural manpower and at the same time it has resulted into overall development of nation. Government is already working towards it but lot more constructive need to be done. This paper focus on how NABARD and its role in promoting Agriventure under ACABC scheme helped in social as well as economic wellbeing of beneficiaries. For this, a study was done of one of the beneficiaries of Nadimahara Village. She took training from Kalyani Farmers Knowledge Centre regarding Pisciculture. To her surprise, after training living standard of her family has increased drastically. Her income increased threefold approximately along with increase in her skills. Thus she has not only becomeself-employed with aid of the above centre but ACABC scheme has come as a boon to her for her overall development.
